Time Capsule Pendants

A few years ago I began making what I like to call little "time capsule pendants."      I am always collecting things and am often on the road. So much of the time, I forget where my travel trinkets came from once I get back home, and the months and years pass. I'll find a pressed flower in a journal or book, a wing in a box, some leaves or sand in a brown paper bag, a dried juniper berry loose in a purse, the list goes on. I started making pendants for myself soon after getting home from travels so that I could have a little of everything I found, right there in a sweet reminder I could wear around my neck. The process of preparing materials for these time capsule pendants also helps me to write down what I found and where I found it, before too much time passes and I forget.

*Custom Orders*

I am delighted to offer custom orders for time capsule pendants. We will work together to decide how your materials can be best utilized in one of these pieces.   If you would like to order a time capsule necklace, the first step is sending me an email. From there, I will send you a form to fill out where you will detail the materials you wish to be used, size and shape of the pendant, type of necklace chain, and any other additional details you wish to disclose. I will then send an email where you will approve or amend our plan before moving forward with payment. If needed, I am available for one free phone consultation during this planning process. 

Some things you should consider before ordering a custom time capsule pendant:

-This will be a 2 week process, at minimum, beginning from the time I physically receive your materials to when you receive the finished product. I will be in touch about the timeline of your order once I have received your materials. 

-Although it is not likely to occur, materials could get damaged in the mailing and/or creating process. In the confirmation email, you will agree that I will not be held responsible for items lost or damaged during shipping or in the creation process. I will include insurance on your finished piece that I mail to you, which will cover the cost of your order.

-Due to their delicate nature, materials should be packed appropriately so that they do not shift in transit and should be mailed in a durable package such as a small cardboard box.

-Prices begin at $111.00 for these custom order pendants and increase depending on size, shape, variety of materials, and type of necklace chain. A full price list will be included in the order form.

Some materials ideas for your time capsule pendant include but are not limited to: 

-thin fabric  

-insect wing (I can supply for additional cost, or you can send your own) 

-pressed flowers (flowers from wedding, graduation, travels, special places, etc.)

-plant matter such as moss, bark, leaves

-papers such as handwritten note or news clippings 

-thin paint chips

-feathers
